Jersey City Connects: Hike & Swim in the Catskills

Join Jersey City Connects for a scenic 3.5-mile hike to Vernooy Kill Falls in the Catskills. The trail passes through forest, rocky sections, and gentle stream crossings before reaching a 49-foot waterfall and swimming area. The hike is suitable for beginner to intermediate hikers, with about 600 feet of elevation gain.

Transportation from Jersey City is included in the ticket price. After the hike and swim, the group will stop for lunch before returning to Jersey City.

What to Bring: Hiking shoes, bug/tick spray, sunscreen, sunglasses or hat, 1–1.5 liters of water, snacks, swimsuit, water shoes, change of clothes, and a towel.
