This Privacy Policy explains how the Ward A Hub mobile application (“App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

We are committed to protecting user privacy while providing access to community information and resources for Ward A residents.

We may collect the following information when you create an account or use the App:

Personal Information

  • Telephone number

Device & Technical Information
We may automatically collect certain data such as:

  • Device type and model

  • Operating system

  • App version

  • Time and duration of use

  • Interaction patterns within the App

This information is used to maintain and improve App performance and user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We may use your information to:

  • Authenticate and manage user accounts

  • Provide access to App features and content

  • Send civic or community notifications

  • Improve App performance and stability

  • Monitor usage to optimize features

  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell user information.

3. Push Notifications

With your permission, the App may send push notifications related to:

  • Street sweeping or service notices

  • Government information and updates

You may opt out of notifications at any time through device settings.

4. Analytics & Usage Data

The App may use anonymous analytics services to understand usage patterns, improve features, and maintain system performance. Analytics may collect non-personal technical data such as device type or usage duration.

We do not use analytics for advertising, tracking users across apps, or profiling behavior.

5. Information Sharing

We may share information only with:

  • Service providers who support App functions (such as hosting, authentication, analytics, or security)

These providers are permitted to use data solely for operational purposes.

We do not share information with:

  • Advertisers

  • Third-party marketers

  • Private organizations for commercial use

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to operate and support the App, or as required by applicable laws or policies. Users may request deletion of account information (see Section 11).

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. However, no system can guarantee absolute security, and we cannot promise that information will never be accessed without authorization.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected, it will be deleted as soon as reasonably possible.

9. Links to External Resources

The App does not currently link to outside websites or third-party content. If this changes in future updates, this Policy will be updated accordingly.

10. User Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access personal information we hold about you

  • Request corrections

  • Request deletion of your account and associated data

  • Opt out of certain data collection (e.g., notifications or analytics)

To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 13.

11. Account Deletion

Users may request deletion of their account. Deleting an account may remove access to App features that require authentication.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates indicates acceptance of the revised Policy. The “Effective Date” above will reflect the most recent version.
